Education should help children understand their place in a wider world. Each year pupils fundraise and volunteer for causes local and national, including Haven House Children’s Hospice, the British Heart Foundation (via an energetic skipathon), the Dogs Trust, and Enfield Food Bank, which received our Harvest Festival donations after a talk that made a real impression. Compassion, it turns out, is teachable.
