Pastoral Care in Pre-Prep

As school becomes more structured, we watch the things that don’t show up in books, such as friendships, confidence and tiredness, and act early in partnership with parents.

Children learn best when they feel safe, happy and understood, so every member of staff, not a designated few, takes responsibility for pupils’ wellbeing. Confidence is built through support, praise and encouragement; achievements academic and otherwise get noticed and celebrated; and standards of behaviour are high because children are shown what respect looks like, daily.

ISI wording on behaviour/wellbeing, or a parent quote.
